Treganhawke cottage is located in the small farming village of Yearlsey close to the North York Moors and the picturesque Yorkshire coast, yet only 15 miles from the historic city of York, ten miles from the Georgian market town of Helmsley and four miles from Easingwold.
This charming comfortable country cottage sleeps 6. It is solidly built with oak flooring and is well maintained by its welcoming owners who offer a tray of afternoon tea and home made cakes upon arrival.
There is ample car parking space which is just outside the front door so there is no need to carry those heavy bags a long way.
Accommodation includes 3 reception rooms and 3 bedrooms. The sitting room has comfortable sofas and can be toasty warm due to its log fire (which does have a good fender for safety purposes). The large conservatory is the perfect area for children to play with the many games provided.
The bedrooms include one double bedroom and two twin rooms. The double has a king sized bed and enough space to accommodate either a baby's cot or child's bed. One of the two twin bedrooms has a memory foam mattress; hypoallergenic pillows are available upon request. The bathroom has an over bath power shower and a heated towel rail. There is an additional cloakroom downstairs.
The kitchen has sufficient space to eat in and is well equipped with an electric oven, electric hob, fridge/freezer (extra freezer can be provided), microwave, dishwasher, washing machine as well as heavy based pans and sharp knives.
There is an enclosed back garden ideal for children and pets with a useful lockable bicycle shed. Whilst relaxing in the garden why not sample some BBQ food and enjoy sitting on the patio which overlooks Yearsley forest.
The cottage is well served by transport. There are airports at Leeds/Bradford and Durham/Teesside (50 minutes away), trains stations at York and Thirsk (15 miles away) and a bus station at Easingwold (4 miles away) however we would recommend that you bring a car.
